Valor Village

Valor Village is 4-story affordable housing development. It provides permanent supportive housing for low-income veterans and their families. The project chose Quaker’s V300 Series uPVC windows for multiple reasons:

• The V300’s strong CW-50 rating spans the entire project line, including the Sliders and Fixed units found on this project.
• Developers chose a trendy Textured Dark Bronze exterior color, which merges well with the building’s multi-color design. Versatile white interior color matches any decor.
• 1″ Insulated glass brought value on 2 fronts: Energy efficiency in the form of dual-silver Low-E. Very good sound control with a 1/4″ interior pane.
• Multi-unit configurations were factory-mulled to save onsite labor and time. To ensure a secure connection, 1/2″ structural mulls were used.
• WOCDs were added to all operating sliding windows for safety.
• Nearly 150 windows in total were delivered direct to the jobsite to lessen handling before install.

Since opening, Valor Village has been awarded 2025 PCBC Golden Nugget Award of Merit for Best Affordable Housing Community. It’s design achieved GreenPoint Rated Gold status.
