Upper Division Grad Housing

With a growing student population, Oregon State University developed this new 221-apartment building specifically set aside for upper-division and grad level students.

• V300 Vinyl Single Hung windows and Fixed Picture windows.  273 windows total.  All Single Hung windows have unequal sash heights i.e. operating bottom sash and fixed top sash are not equal in height.
• With a rating of CW-50 for all window units, structural concerns were quickly eliminated.
• Textured Dark Bronze (exterior) and White (interior)
• Insulating Glass contains dual Silver Low-e for 4-season energy efficiency.  Thicker panes were requested to dampen sound intrusion
• For a consistent look, one single vertical SDL bar was set across each of the Fixed Picture Windows to match the appearance of the Single Hung windows.
• 90% of the windows contained an installed trickle vent — a small, adjustable opening affixed into windows to allow for very minimal but controlled air flow to help with the prevention of moisture build-up on the inside of a window.
• WOCDs (Window Operating Control Devices) were installed on all Single Hung windows for safety purposes.
  Products were jobsite-delivered on pallets for easier unload and site storage.

The project was completed and opened just before the 2024 fall semester began.
