NYC law requires that buildingshousing children 10 years or youngermust contain window guards whichkeep the window from openingmore than 4 1⁄2” in any direction.Our Limit Travel devices, whichare compatible with many of ourproducts — including the E600 – arebuilt specifically for this purpose andgenerally open no more than 4”.
Saving on-site labor and time,Quaker supplied louvers already builtinto the window units.The louversmatch up perfectly with the HVACsystems in each apartment.
Thicker glass panes wereincorporated to suppress streetnoise.
E600’s AW-ratings (AW-100 forProject-In & Fixed, AW-70 forCasement) meant anextremely strong performance from every window — from the bottom story all the way to thetop.
Satisfying NYC Engineering Calcs plus meeting a required field test proved to be noobstacle for Quaker.
